Well…I will just start by saying WOW.
Stacey knocked it out of the park when it comes to styling, crafting and hand picking EVERY detail that made her Wedding one of my favs to photograph!
Also – it was held in the middle of a Cyclone…yep Cyclone Lusi, tearing up the North Island and went right through the Wedding..carving a path through their original Ceremony location..Changing the layout of their Reception Venue..most people right now would be freaking out – but not Stacey + Daryl they just took it in their stride.
They called on their friends and family and even some locals and managed not only to setup a temporary ceremony site inside the Hotel the girls were getting ready at, but to clean out an old Fire Station from top to toe..Decorate it to the hilt.. jam a DJ in the corner and get everything in order to party like nobodies business.
Within an hour we also had a barn to shoot at which provided minimal coverage from flying sheep poo (I have seen Daryl a few times since their Wedding and he LOVES to remind me of how I stood in the wind, raincoat going sideways with my hair with poop flying into me lol Good times…good times…)
All in all though it is the most memorable Wedding I have shot for so many reasons – partly because of all the epicness but mostly because these two are awesome, down to earth and cruisey people who make the best team!
