Love her wild // Styled shoot
The style and tones of our shoot were based around our location – the closest thing we have to a castle in NZ, an old quarry just outside of Auckland.

We were limited with where models could safely go, but we created a little bit of magic where we could!
I imagined what it would have been like if it were a castle – before it fell to ruin.

Enchanting, magical, beautiful and moody. The old kauri table and settings were minimal with a focus on the forgotten, with vintage furs and brass candelabra, crystals and greenery, then the subtle mauve and maroon tones in the florals and makeup.
When planning, I started thinking about the unseen woman and Wedding in editorial work – being Maori/Irish myself I felt it was time to share some diversity!
The South African, Maori and NZ/Cook Island ladies I chose for the shoot are all size 10-12…are unique, beautiful and real.

I didn’t want Jenny next-door for this! So many brides with tattoos cover them up, those who wear glasses take them off… and I am all about the Rock n Roll babe, being magical and doing what she wants – where she feels her best.
