Bella + Sam’s Wedding – Backyard Ceremony and The Officers Mess with Stories by Bianca
There are many things that make your Wedding day special.
Sharing it with the ones you love… being somewhere beautiful and having a celebration that really reflects you is what I encourage all couples to consider..jpg)

I remember the day Bella got in touch, she had found me via the Skinny Love Weddings team (thanks again beautiful ladies).
Bella and Sam were planning to fly home to Auckland for their Wedding from the U.K and were looking for someone to photograph their day – it was all new to me, how this would work as so many brides want to meet before booking.
We both followed our instincts and ended up making a super organised team (Sam..yes you helped too!)

When Sam and Bella told me they wanted to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family we decided a First Look was the way to go – just a few from a romp around the park before we headed to the ceremony in the backyard!

There were many reasons why celebrating at home for Bella was so important, mostly it was because of aroha. love.

The ceremony was in the backyard on what I still think was THE HOTTEST weekend we had in Feb.

They thought of everything – a huge bus pulled up just as we were leaving to take their guests to Takapuna, I drove Sam and Bella to The Officers Mess to maximise our time together.

It was really important to Sam and Bella to get a photo in front of Rangitoto.

Instead of traipsing down to the beach we took one from up on the hill so we could grab some bubbles and walk around the venue while we took photos, waiting for their guests to arrive.. who were not far behind at all!

The cheese cake got me – seriously it looked like the goodness!
We had a fun day with you both, I wish I had blogged earlier so I could remember it all!
Mostly, I remember all the smiles.. I remember the moments that I am proud to say I photographed for your family, I remember how hot it was, so hot I almost wore just a bra home in the car haha.
I look at these photos and I know you love them as much as I do. Thanks for the super trust in me, for first stepping in front of my camera on your Wedding Day.
